Consider/Approve Floor Refinishing Bid for Hillcrest and Ridgemont Elementary Gymnasiums |

Background Information: In addition to advertising, we solicited bids to refinish the gymnasium floors at Hillcrest and Ridgemont Elementary Schools (specifications and addendum #1 attached). Funds are available for this purchase within the General Purpose School Fund budget for the current fiscal year as previously approved by the Board. The amount budgeted for Hillcrest Elementary was $22,000. We received two (2) bids for this purchase. The bids are summarized on the bid request tally sheet. The bids received were Stevens Gymnasiums, Inc. – $10,900 for Hillcrest; $5,900 for Ridgemont; $16,800 total
Toadvine Enterprises– $17,143.00 for Hillcrest; $13,125.00 for Ridgemont; $30,268.00 total The low bid meeting all specifications was submitted by Stevens Gymnasiums, Inc. at a total cost of $16,800. Staff Recommendation: I recommend approval of the bid received as submitted by Stevens Gymnasiums, Inc. at a total cost of $16,800. |
